China Green Fannings

- green tea
Shangba

This green fannings tea is produced during the processing of green Chun Mee. Looking like finely chopped, this green tea is created by abrasion while rolling the Chun Mee tea leaves. Generally, during the production of green leaf tea about 15 to 20 percent fannings arise.

Because of its small leaf size this tea is suitable for filling teabags. The quality is different depending on the season of picking, just as with Chun Mee.

Very fine, very small tea leaves.

The cup color is light green to light yellow and transparent clear.

The taste is pleasant, dry and fruity.

Predominantly machine picked and machine processed · Medium quality = Note 3 (satisfying).

China Sencha

- green tea
Shangba

Sen Cha means boiled green tea in Japanese. This is the common name for teas produced with fully automated manufacturing lines developed in Japan. After mechanical picking of the tea bushes, the tea leaves are slightly withered and then steamed with 110° C hot water vapour. The demand of the Japanese people for this tea is so great that the domestic tea production cannot meet the demand alone. Japan imports more tea than it exports. On behalf of Japanese tea importers, such fully automated Sencha production facilities are being installed in tea growing countries around the world, so that this tea can also be produced in other countries.

Flat-pressed, light to dark green tea leaves. The cup color is pale green to pale yellow and transparent clear.

The cup tastes dry, slightly grassy with a light fruity note.

Mechanically picked and processed · Medium quality = Note 3 (satisfying).
